I have just had an interesting chat with my oldest surviving relative, who claims that she used to have a photograph of my grandfather John Thomas Hall, and his brother Reuben Hall, posing together with a village band.
Does anyone have any knowledge of a Long Clawson village band circa 1900 - 1910? Are there any old photos of village life around that time (including a possible village band) |

I have seen a picture of the village band posing in the garden of 'The Hollies' I think, not sure where though as I can find it on the website. I am uncertain of the date it was taken but i'll see if I can track it down... unless I did see it on the website and i'm going blind!! |

Just a thought but might it be the "Band of Hope" your relative is referring to?

Itwas the Kegworth Village Band, and Our Grandfather was a Member. There is a photograph of this Band if You go to Kegworth. |
