A small group of villagers worked hard to produce our village website ten years ago and secured a grant of £500 to pay the initial set up and annual running costs. When launched we won an award for the 2002 Village of the Year competition (IT section, Central Region) sponsored by Calor Gas, this gave us a further £375 to help with the running costs when the initial grant of £500 ran out.
All of the initial funding has been utilised (well it did last 10 years!) and the cupboard is now bare 
We have just changed hosting companies and are now able to accommodate the village hall website (coming soon) within our subscription, consequently the village hall committee have generously paid 50% of this years hosting costs.
Local personal and business email addresses i.e. John.Smith@long-clawson.com have been made available to local villagers for free and we would like this to remain as long as possible.
BUT we need sponsors to give financial support to our village website and cover an immediate shortfall of £35; can we please appeal to you for a contribution? It would be really appreciated; we could recognise the donation on the website if required, especially if you are a local business.
